130510_David_Rook_Security_Ninja.jpgSOURCE Dublin combines cutting-edge business, technology, and application security presentations, providing security experts and industry professionals the opportunity to share insights and develop future business prospects.

Our intimate environment provides a unique and rare opportunity to develop deep professional relationships and to gain insight into individual perspectives and experiences within the security industry.

Dublin attracts technology, innovation, and cutting-edge industry leadership, making it the ideal place to present a one-of-a-kind professional computer conference that explores important new trends in a fun and educational environment.

Speakers include Halvar Flake, Vincenzo Iozzo, Allison Miller (Electronic Arts), Xavier Mertens (TrueSec), Simon Roses (Femerling), Davi Ottenheimer (EMC), Dave Litchfield, Arron Finnon (Activity), Patrick Schulz & Felix Matenaar (BlueBox Security), Ollie Whitehouse (NCC Group), Peter Morgan & John Villami (AccuvantLabs), Brian Honan (BH Consulting), Philippe Langlois, Rob "Whitey" Beck, and Dublin's very own Security Ninja, David Rook (Realex Payments) pictured above!

The competition, which is now open for registration, is designed to test the skills of up and coming cyber security programmers and penetration testers from around the world.

Working in teams of up to four people all-day, entrants will compete to see who can "hack the world" in a series of increasingly difficult security challenges. Each challenge is designed to simulate a type of threat which companies across the world may encounter as part of a cyber security attack. Entrants are first required to overcome existing security measures and then; in an added twist, once entrants hack a target they will then have to defend it against fellow hackers.

The competition is being held in association with Honeynet Ireland at the SOURCE Dublin.
