Sonru.com Complete €662k Round

Automated Video Interview Tool Company Brings Total Funding, Prize and Grant Awards to €1m.

SONRU_Team.jpgSonru.com, the Wexford based video interviewing automation company, has completed its first ever investment funding round, topping out at €662,500.  The funding was raised through Enterprise Ireland and private investors and will be used to expand its presence in the International markets.

Sonru.com, a HPSU client of Enterprise Ireland, currently operates in Ireland and India through its deal with Saon Group, the Denis O'Brien organisation that owns IrishJobs.ie. In January 2011, Sonru will announce a similar reseller deal springboarding its video interview tools into the lucrative yet competitive UK jobs marketplace.

2010 has been something of a golden year for Sonru. Not only has the company surpassed the €1m mark raised as seed capital, prizes and grants, it has won a spate of awards including being listed as one of the Top 50 Technology companies in the World in 2010, a Regional Winner at the IntertradeIreland Seedcorn competition, named as 'Best of Breed' on the EI iGap programme and winning the Bank of Ireland Bright Ideas Challenge Grand Final.

Commenting on the announcement, Fergal O'Byrne, CEO of Sonru, said: "This latest funding round is a very significant milestone in the development of Sonru.com, and will facilitate our expansion into the UK, a market we envisage being a key adopter of our technology, providing opportunities for both further product development and increased revenues."
