Dell Sessions at Dublin Web Summit

Dell to Offer Start-ups the Chance to Hone Their Pitching Skills via Live Workshops and Seminars on Technology

Aongus Hegarty Dell and Dublin Web Summit Founder Paddy CosgraveDell has announced that it is to exhibit at the Dublin Web Summit and run a number of sessions during the event to provide counsel on business strategy and the deployment of technology to entrepreneurs attending from across the globe. Onsite, Dell will have a lounge reminiscent of the university dorm room where the company was started by Michael Dell in 1984.

Throughout the three day event, Dell's sessions will include a ‘Pitch Perfect' coaching session, where senior executives will impart their expertise and provide feedback and advice for the 200 startups shortlisted to take part in the Summit's official pitch competition. In addition, workshops on a range of topics relevant to entrepreneurs, including how to manage customer segmentation and how to scale a company for growth, will be offered throughout the course of the Summit, and members of the Dell team will be on-hand to provide business and technology consulting to attendees.

Dell's President of EMEA, Aongus Hegarty claims the company is a long-time advocate for encouraging policies and practices that support and enable entrepreneurial growth, sayingy: "We are a company that personifies entrepreneurial spirit, celebrates it every day, and embodies it in everything we do - whether that's encouraging a culture of risk, or driving innovation at a renewed pace.

So it is fitting that we're supporting this important gathering by bringing our expertise and insights to the community of entrepreneurs in attendance. Through our partnership we hope to meet more companies, help road-test their ideas, give them advice and guidance and help put them in touch with the right people and organisations - strengthening their chances for future success."

Paddy Cosgrave, Founder of Web Summit, believes Michael Dell is the role model for many young entrepreneurs today. He said: "The fact that the company is 30 years old yet still maintains a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship is central to its long term success. We are thrilled to have Dell on board this year - we have long believed the team there would be an ideal partner for us and we are delighted that this ambition has come to fruition."

Web Summit 2014, taking place in Dublin from November 4th - 6th, is fast becoming an international destination for tech startups and Fortune 500s to meet, with this year's event expecting to host more than 2,000 startups and 20,000 attendees, including startups, speakers and exhibitors.
